Tired - fatigué - müde!!!

A great hello to everybody from Singapore!

As you probably have guessed, we are still on our way to Australia and getting a first impression of what our year is going to look like. We were welcomed by a sandstorm in Qatar and by lots of rain here in Singapore (Photo) but our hope still lies with Downunder!



Moreover, we are learning what it means to live as a true backpacker. The first couple of hours we slept on the hard and cold floor of the airport, then we advanced to some comfortable seats, and by now (1 day of experience richer), we are in the Business Lounge of some airline using their free internet, eating away their buffet, taking wonderfully refreshing showers and enjoying the view over the airport. I think I can get used to this kind of travelling! :)

Moreover, we have so much luck because finally the Hospitality Club turned out as great as it seemed. Our host in Darwin is not only making us happy with a private bed for a couple of nights but even picking us up from the airport at 4 in the morning. Have I already told you that I love the world with all those sweet people in it?!?!

So, that is it for now. David wants some more choclate cake and we'll also start boarding soon.

Un grand salut à tout le monde depuis Singapore!

Comme vous l'avez probablement deviné, nous sommes toujours en chemin pour l'Australie et nous prenons une première impression de ce à quoi notre année va ressembler.... Nous avons ete accueillis par une tempete de sable au Qatar et par beaucoup de pluie a Singapour (photo) mais on garde l'espoir de beau temps en Australie!

Par ailleurs, nous apprenons ce que c'est que vivre comme un vrai aventurier : On a passé nos premières heures a singapour à dormir par terre dans l'aéroport, ensuite on a migré vers des fauteuils bien plus confortables et pour finir (1 jour d'expérience en plus), nous nous sommes installés dans la loge V.I.P. commune aux compagnies, utilisant leur accès gratuit à internet, dévorant leur buffet gratuit, prenant une douche merveilleusement rafraichissante et profitant de la vue panoramique sur l'aéroport. On pourrait très bien s'habituer à voyager comme ça ! :)

Et pour terminer, on a eu beaucoup de chance car l'Hospitality Club s'est révélé aussi bon qu'il en avait l'air. notre hôte à darwin ne nous gratifie pas seulement de deux lits confortables, mais vient même nous chercher à l'aéroport à 4 heures du mat'. Est-ce que je vous ai déjà dit que j'adore le monde avec tous ces gens gentils dessus ?!?!

Bon, c'est tout pour le moment. David veut encore du gâteau au chocolat et nous allons bientot embarquer.
